Appraisal reports are an unbiased professional opinion of a home's value and are required for mortgages and other purposes. Usually, this involves an in-person walk-through to consider the condition of the home, the size, floor plan and amenities. Current market trends as well as recent sales of similar properties are also researched. Depending on the urgency and complexity, you can expect the final report from within a few days, up to two weeks.
How to prepare? Have a list of significant improvements within the last 15 years and
make sure that all rooms in the home are accessible and well-lit.
